Alternative ways in?

In my essay I talked about some limited biblical evidence of people having access to God, or to some form of truth, via unorthodox routes.

The witch of Endor, Balaam, and the psychic slave girl being three examples cited. Of course, these examples might be questionable because whatever knowledge they gained doesn't seem to have done them much good. From the inclusivist point of view, you probably wouldn't say that any of them were 'saved' through their religion, though it's possible that the slave girl was later converted.

In the contemporary situation I've read stories of people such as Melody Green (wife of Keith) and Brian Greenaway (Hells Angel) who have had experiences while on drugs that have led them to become Christians. I also read a little pamphlet once with about 10 stories from people who had become Christians after experiences while dabbling in occultic practices. It would be interesting to hear stories of other people who have turned to other religions after such expereiences.

This isn't exactly central to the theology of religions but it's an interesting side issue.
